PLC Control Engineer
Are you an experienced PLC Engineer who enjoys the challenge of fully developing and programming software programs for customer-specific projects? As a PLC Control Engineer at AWL you will work with a multidisciplinary team on customized machines. This includes developing software that controls robots, vision systems and welding equipment. You continuously know how to make the right analysis and make the best decision for bringing the machine to life. You will work out different "what if" scenarios, prepare and write code, simulate, test and optimize cycle times. You are able to guide other departments in your procedure and act as an advisor. Besides developing code, you also have a strong coordinating and organizing role. Your duties include:
- Development of software control designs (in UML);
- PLC coding in SCL from Siemens TIA portal or Allen Bradley;
- Supervise implementation within the project group and monitor progress;
- Providing input for long-term developments;
- Commissioning of machines at AWL and customer site;
- Customer contact in the form of training and guidance during implementation.
In this role you will work closely with various disciplines including your immediate colleagues from System Engineering, Hardware, Robotics and Project Management.
