Senior Robot Programmer (Multiple positions) 

Preparation Activities:

Analyze project specification requirements and mechanical design of the robots (various types and brands) with regards to handling and connections/joints/junctions for manufactured products. Develop the initial design from concept to a fully functional & operational robot control software program to meet project specifications. 

Execution Activities

Program PLC operational software. Conduct testing to ensure requirements are met according to project specifications. Implement/apply improvements after testing. Optimize robot software program into a fully functional process. Assess and safeguard machine safety/security measures. Responsible for on-site programming of robots and installing/initial commissioning on customer’s premises and provide clarity for customer in case of questions or uncertainties.

Other Activities

Travel required to unanticipated customer locations from main worksite in Spartanburg, SC. 

Knowledge of the following is required:

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering or closely related field.  3 years’ experience as Robot Programmer, Automated Controls Programmer or related occupation. Experience must include commissioning of robotic welding equipment (KUKA, Fanuc).
