What are you going to do?
As Innovation Leader, you ensure that your team of Development Engineers contributes to R&D's development roadmap. You created this roadmap yourself in consultation with business unit managers and R&D colleagues. Your team is a multidisciplinary development team that develops products for the AWL group. These products will add strategic value to the organisation. Your team consists of driven development engineers with whom you work intensively, but you will also talk a lot with stakeholders.

There may be machine concepts on the roadmap, but also developments focused on hardware or software. Software will be used to apply additional intelligence in customer projects. This could be through robot mathematics, applying vision and AI models, and/or as an interface between different peripherals.

Within the team, you will work in an agile way (scrum). This provides a framework to carry out development iteratively (sprint planning, refinements) and to demonstrate (demos), but also to support collaboration with the other team members (daily, retrospective). As Innovation Leader, you will take on the role of Product Owner within the team.

What do we expect from you?

• Lots of enthusiasm combined with a great passion for software development;
• Bachelor’s of masters degree in (technical) computer science;
• > 3 years of relevant (managerial) work experience within industrial automation;
• Experience of working in a scrum team;
• Knowledge of programming concepts (OOP, FP, etc.);
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
